COCA-COLA LEADS #MARESCIRCULARES TO COMBAT MARINE POLLUTION.
Congratulations Coca-Cola, for #MaresCirculares, a project to address the problem of marine pollution. A project to care for nature and move forward on the path to sustainability.
#MaresCirculares is a network project we launched in 2018 with a triple objective: to clean coasts, protected areas, and seabeds in Spain and Portugal, to promote recycling, and to boost the circular economy.
We focus our actions on the urgent, cleaning our aquatic environments; while not neglecting the important: raising awareness about recycling, for which we have sensitized more than 73,000 people. And we also look to the future by supporting studies and business initiatives that seek solutions to marine pollution.
Five years fighting against marine pollution, during which we have collected 1,880 tons of waste, with the participation of more than 34,000 volunteers in 456 interventions on beaches and other aquatic environments, as well as in 81 marine reserves and other protected areas.
